<p>Robins Federal Credit Union, Warner Robins, Ga., Vice President of Human Resources Barbara Siegfried has earned certification as a senior professional in human resources. In addition HR Manager Tracey Harrelson has earned certification as a professional in human resources. To be come certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute, applicants must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience. Fairwinds Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., WindJammer Teen Newsletter has been named the Bridge Award for Excellence in Member Education Communications national winner in the category of newsletters in the $30 million-plus asset range. The Bridge Awards are an annual contest sponsored by CUNA & Affiliates to encourage excellence in credit union member education communications. The nine national winners were judged best of 160 entries with only two winners from Florida. Louisiana Credit Union League, Harahan, has created a scholarship in honor of Edgar L. Fontaine. The Edgar L. Fontaine Memorial Scholarship is a three-year scholarship to the Southeast CUNA Management School in Athens, Georgia. The scholarship will be awarded each year beginning in 2002. Recipients of the scholarship will receive 100% tuition for the first year and 50% tuition for the second and third years. Fontaine served as President of the League from 1947 until 1989, and was President/CEO of Louisiana Central Credit Union from 1947 until his death in July 2000. During his tenure with the League he organized numerous credit unions throughout the state. The scholarship is open to all volunteers and professionals from LCUL affiliated credit unions.</p>
