<p>WASHINGTON-Senate Banking Committee Chairman Paul Sarbanes (D-Md.) has announced hearings February 5 and 6 on "The State of Financial Literacy and Education in America." Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Harvey Pitt are scheduled to testify on the first day. The second day of hearings will include consumer groups, such as the American Savings Education Council, the Consumer Federation of America, AARP, and others.</p>
