ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Credit Union System has scheduled a three-day seminar March 6-8 to assist credit unions throughout the country in better serving small businesses. Attendance at the "Serving Small Business Symposium" is open to credit unions in any state, and so far CUs in Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, and Texas have expressed an interest in attending, a league spokesperson said. "Serving small business encompasses much more than lending. To attract quality loans, credit unions need to offer the support services businesses need," said MCUS President/CEO Rosie Holub. The symposium is designed to provide "the educational foundation for credit unions to build a successful plan to serve the entrepreneur." The cost for attending the symposium is $499 per person if registered before Feb. 15. Anyone interested in registering can call (888) 800-6287 or (314) 542-1331.
