<p>ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA Director of Public and Congressional Affairs Cliff Northup said that he has hired someone for the special assistant for legislative affairs position in his office. Elizabeth Wirick last held the position about a year ago. Gail Galvan, formerly serving as a supervising senior tax specialist for KPMG, will be filling the position beginning February 11. She also used to work for H&R Block and the Senate Finance Committee. Northup said that he has known of Galvan through his time in Washington. “I’m delighted to have her come on board,” he said. The retirement of former PACA Director Bob Loftus and the September 11 terrorist attack issues had delayed hiring someone to fill the position, Northup said.</p>
