NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A month-long billboard promotion has helped the Michigan Credit Union League's wholly owned subsidiary CUcorp and the CU Marketing Alliance reach over 55 million consumers. The promotion featured more than 140 billboards across Michigan carrying the message "You're worth more at a credit union." "Credit union officials, volunteers and members were all abuzz over the campaign," said CUMA Chairwoman and Michigan Services Credit Union President/CEO Liz Morehouse. "People were talking about it and having fun with it. We couldn't ask for more from an advertising campaign." According to MCUL Vice President of Association Services Lori Bahnmuller the league's potential reach has never before exceeded four million. Plans are already underway for a 2002 billboard campaign in October.
