PURCHASE, N.Y. – MasterCard International has entered into an alliance with Zagat Survey, a provider of consumer survey-based dining, lodging and leisure information. As part of their efforts to support the restaurant industry and improve consumer experience Zagat Survey and MasterCard will jointly host a series of forums with Tim and Nina Zagat, as well as other industry experts to address key business challenges such as how restaurants can upgrade their service, better manage the bottom line, improve their marketing, develop successful promotions, create popular menus and wine lists and win customer loyalty. The first conferences will be held in the following cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto. As part of the new alliance MasterCard will have an increased presence on Zagat's Web site, www.zagat.com and Zagat's guidebooks will be distributed via MasterCard Channels.
