MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual Group President and CEO Mike Kitchen appeared on CNBC's "Business First" program on Dec. 30. Business First, hosted by Jack Kemp, is a cable television series that focuses on the business and technology marketplace. The Kitchen/Kemp interview will replay on the Bravo channel on Jan.10, 6 a.m. CST. In response to Kemp's query about what exactly is CUNA Mutual's business, Kitchen explained the company's business is all about partnering with credit unions. "CUNA Mutual is 100% focused on serving credit unions and their members. We focus on three areas," he said. They are the following: Providing in conjunction with credit unions a full range of financial products and services to their members. Offering the products and services that credit unions need to protect and benefit their staffs and be competitive in the financial industry today. Protecting credit unions from risk while also partnering with them to provide what they need to achieve their business objectives. "Our mission is [to create] financial security for credit unions and their members. We believe we can be better at that than anyone else can be. And, credit unions know that they never have to worry about CUNA Mutual competing with them."
