SEATTLE – The holidays were particularly profitable for retail coffee chain Starbucks thanks to its new gift card. Over 2.3 million cards were issued from Thanksgiving's Day to New Year's Eve. In addition, holiday sales were up 22%. The Starbucks Card is available in any monetary denomination from $5 to $500. Card can be purchased and reloaded at Starbuck's stores.
