FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – AutoNation, the largest retailer of new and used vehicles in the U.S. is no longer underwriting auto loans.
The company said it will continue to provide auto loans through third-party finance sources.
An AutoNation spokesperson said the company made its decision after reviewing "strategic alternatives associated with its auto loan business" and deciding that auto lending was not part of AutoNation's core business.
