<p>BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv Inc. announced last week it's merging RF/Spectrum Decision Science Corp. into its IPS-Sendero business unit. The new firm will operate under the IPS-Sendero name. RF/Spectrum is well known in credit union land as a provider of mortgage-decision support, and with more than 120 major lenders as clients, Fiserv says its technology is used to manage more than half of all U.S. mortgages. RF/Spectrum is based in Oakland, Calif., and was founded in 1984. Fiserv acquired it in February 1999. Atlanta-based IPS-Sendero already licenses asset/liability and profitability decisioning and planning solutions to more than 7,500 clients worldwide. David E. Ulrich will continue to serve as IPS-Sendero business unit president, a post he's held since 1995. John H. Button, RF/Spectrum's current leader, will be senior vice president/business initiatives for the newly merged company. [email protected]</p>
