MADISON, Wis. – CUNA will conduct a “Strategic Issues” workshop at BAI’s Retail Delivery Conference set to be held from Dec. 10 -14 in Anaheim. The Retail Delivery conference has become more popular for CUs in recent years as it is a showcase for new technology in the financial services industry. The workshop will cover some issues which are directly related to or have become more important since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, including consumer confidence, avoiding layoffs, anti-terrorism law/money laundering, safeguarding security, and rising delinquencies. Facilitators include CUNA Vice President of Economics & Statistics Mike Schenk; SVP, Director of Security for Key Bank, Tom Lekan; and Dr. B.J. Bischoff, managing director of White River Performance Improvement Partnership. The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 11. Cost is $195.
