Wherever large numbers of credit union people gather, there you are likely to find a Credit Union Times presence, even at international gatherings where CU folks are completely surrounded by predominantly banking types from all across the globe. That will be the case once again at the annual mid-December meeting put on by the Chicago-based Bank Administration Institute (BAI). Credit Union Times representatives, along with about 300 credit union participants, are registered for BAI Retail Delivery 2001 which will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center (California). This meeting is widely acclaimed as not only the largest, but the best meeting of its type. An important ingredient in BAI's annual retail delivery meetings is its huge trade show. It has always been more important to participants than an impressive line-up of speakers. Each year the exposition program attracts hundreds of technology vendors who are eager to provide hands-on, live demonstrations of the newest and most innovative financial institution delivery systems. This meeting serves as a worldwide showcase for the latest in technology for financial institutions of all types. That includes credit unions. It is at this meeting where many vendors in the past first discovered that credit unions were also potential customers. They were pleasantly surprised to learn that credit unions are quite sophisticated and constantly looking for more cost effective and state-of-the-art methods of delivering products and services to their members. Credit Union Times will be on hand in the BAI expo hall to help educate vendors about credit unions. [email protected]
