If the number of meetings scheduled for next year is supposed to be dropping, someone forgot to tell the credit union industry. The largest and most complete listing of credit union meetings, conferences, conventions, institutes, caucuses, seminars, symposiums, and workshops scheduled in 2002 is included in this issue of Credit Union Times. Each year the list appears in time for credit unions to plan and budget for their continuing education programs for the upcoming year. Many readers tear out this meeting schedule and keep it in a handy spot as a reference source. Plan on updates at least quarterly throughout next year. They will include any newly scheduled meetings, all changes, additional information that wasn't available at press time, and will reflect any meeting cancellations as well. The complete list of 2002 credit union meetings also appears on our Web site (cutimes.com) where it is updated on a weekly basis as needed. If your meeting isn't listed, it's because someone forgot to respond to the numerous deadline notices in this publication, or the several fax and phone reminders to submit the information in time to be included. One thing that makes this list the best source of credit union meeting information is the fact that the Credit Union Times staff goes the extra mile to make the listing as complete as possible and to verify the accuracy of the data submitted for inclusion. Pack those bags!
