MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. – In just one month, Liberty's special checks program has raised $55,965 for September 11 disaster relief efforts. Credit unions and their members have placed 11,193 orders for Liberty's Flag or Firefighters designs. Each check order triggers a $5 donation to the Credit Unions Rebuild America Disaster Relief Fund. "It comes as no surprise that credit unions and their members have responded so enthusiastically and generously to this special checks program," said David Copham, Liberty Enterprises chairman, president/CEO. "In times of crisis, credit unions have always risen to the challenge. We've been proud to provide an outlet for their generous support." In addition to the establishment of the special checks program, Liberty employees raised nearly $23,000 for the American Red Cross' National Disaster Relief Fund. Liberty's disaster relief checks program will continue until the end of 2001.
