* Assets: $72 million * Members: 14,500 * Employees: 31 full-time, two part-time * Established: Originally chartered as Port Authority of New York and New Jersey FCU. Changed name to XCEL FCU in 1993. * President/CEO: James Wisnieski: “One thing I’ve learned from all this is how resilient my staff and the members are. What great dedication they both have to the credit union.” * Who XCEL serves: Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. employees; employees from a number of state and federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration, the Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Small Business Administration; and others. The CU even serves some NCUA employees in its region.
