MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. – Liberty Enterprises has designated $5 per order of two special check styles to support disaster recovery efforts for the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. The checks will be available for sale by all of the company's nearly 5,000 credit union clients, as well as those CUs not currently using Liberty. At press time, Liberty employees and the company had combined to raise nearly $11,000 for the American Red Cross. Liberty has also expedited check orders for credit union members whose delivery has been slowed or impacted by the events of the tragedy. Liberty President/CEO Robert Anderson said the Liberty family and community were fortunate to not have lost a family member. "Yet, some among us have lost friends and acquaintances. We also recognize our good fortune as being in sharp contrast to those thousands killed and the many times that number who are left to bear the burden of surviving with human loss."
