BEDFORD, Mass. – The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Financial Management has named Hanscom Federal Credit Union (HFCU) "Best Air Force Credit Union for 2001." This award is given annually to the Air Force credit union that has shown most superior service to the men and women of the United States Air Force. Special consideration was given to credit unions that satisfy the unique financial needs of younger airmen. HFCU has $257 million in assets and over 30,000 members. The credit union serves the Hanscom AFB community and most federal government employees in Massachusetts.. "We are pleased to be recognized for our commitment to those who serve our country around the world," noted Paul Marotta, Chairman of Hanscom Federal Credit Union's Board of Directors. "Young people in particular need access to low cost, convenient financial services, including accurate information to help them make decisions about money."
