Kenyon, TracieTracie Kenyon,president/CEO of the Montana Credit Union Network, was named chairof the American Association of Credit Union Leagues Wednesday.

She replaced Wendell Lyons, president/CEO of the Kentucky CreditUnion League, who stepped down from the post on Monday, accordingto an AACUL statement.

The statement did not explain why Lyons stepped down as ACCULchair, a position he was re-elected to in November. Lyons did notreturn a phone call seeking comment.

Kenyon assumed the chair position because she was AACUL's firstvice chair, according to the association.

She has served on the AACUL board since 2010 and previouslyserved as the organization's secretary and treasurer.

In her role as AACUL's first vice chair, Kenyon also served aschair of CUNA's Credit Union Legislative Action Council, accordingto AACUL.

“On behalf of the entire board, I want share my appreciation forthe leadership that Wendell has provided over the past year, and weare pleased that he will continue to be an active member ofAACUL,”Kenyon said in a statement.

With Kenyon's transition, other members of the board will moveup one spot, which includes first vice chair, Mark Cummins,president/CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network; second vicechair, Scott Simpson, president/CEO of the Utah Credit UnionAssociation; treasurer, Diana Dykstra, president/CEO, Californiaand Nevada Credit Union Leagues; immediate past chair WilliamMellin, president/CEO of the New York Credit Union Association andSusan Newton, AACUL executive director.

The secretary board seat will be filled later, according toAACUL.
