The $6.3 billion America First Credit Union in Riverdale, Utah,said it now is the first financial institution in the state tooffer merchant-funded offers and loans through a mobile app.

Working with the FiservMobiliti solution and Credit Union Direct Lending, AmericaFirst is offering members the ability to use the credit union'siPhone, iPad and Android mobile apps to search nationwide for avehicle, scan its VIN to see its value and apply for an auto loan,as well as personal loans, lines of credit and Visa credit, thecredit union said.

America First said it also has launched ABC Deals, “whichstands for Activate, Buy, Collect, and gives cash back forpurchases. The upgrade provides convenience for members, allowingaccess to participating vendors in the area via location servicesas well as by ZIP code,” America First said Tuesday in itsannouncement.

”We know that a large percentage of our membership basecurrently utilize our mobileproduct and that number is slated to grow exponentially,” saidBrice Mindrum, mobile services manager at America First.

America First has 107 branches, including four that opened thisyear, and plans to open more by year end, the 647,600-member creditunion added.
