UltraData lost two and Symitar gained one in credit union core processing announcements this week.

The Jack Henry & Associates subsidiary announced Tuesday ithas signed the $512 million Credit Union West in Glendale, Ariz.,as an in-house user of the Episys platform. Callahan &Associates data show the 53,000-member Credit Union West currentlyis on the Fiserv Spectrum core.

Meanwhile, a pair of Montana credit unions – the $35 millionRavalli County Federal Credit Union in Hamilton and the $7.5million Bitterroot Community Federal Credit Union in Darby – planto convert in May to the CU*BASE GOLD platform through CU*NorthWest in Liberty Lake, Wash., that CUSO announced onMonday.

Callahan data show both those credit unions currently run onUltraData through Member Driven Technologies, a Detroit-based CUSO.The Montana credit unions were clients of CUsource, a Montana CUSOacquired last fall by MDT, which operates data centers that runthe Symitar Episys plaftform. The credit unions in that CUSO have achoice to move to Symitar Episys or go elsewhere, said MDTPresident/CEO Larry Nichols.

CU*NorthWest is part of the cuasterisk network that offer coreprocessing technology from CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, Mich., andsaid the signings are its first in Montana.

Symitar's platforms are currently in use at more than 750 creditunions, according to Missouri-based Jack Henry. Fiserv's Spectrumis now in use at more than 240 credit unions, that company said.Callahan data shows UltraData is in use at 310.

CU*Answers said it now provides core processing to just morethan 170 credit unions directly and that network partners CU*Southnow has 29 credit union clients and CU*NorthWest has 25.
