Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) did not report a 2013 campaigndonation from CULAC, CUNA's PAC, to the Federal ElectionCommission. The funds were intended for his 2014 congressionalre-election campaign and were among others that weren't properlyreported to the FEC.

CUNA donated $1,000 to Stockman's campaign on July 29,2013.

“As far as I know those checks were never received by thetreasurer and deposited,” said Donny Ferguson, Stockman'scommunications director, according to the Sunlight Foundation, anorganization that promotes congressional transparency.

A spokesperson for CUNA told Credit Union Times thecheck cleared on Aug. 7, 2013, according to the trade association'srecords.

National Auto Dealers Association PAC, College of AmericanPathologists PAC and Citizens United Political Victory Fund PACalso made donations that were not reported by Stockman's campaign,the Sunlight Foundation said.

Last month, Stockman, a member of the House Foreign AffairsCommittee, entered into a Senate primary race against Sen. JohnCornyn (R-Texas).

A NAFCU spokesperson told Credit Union Times its PAC didnot donate any funds to Stockman's House or Senate campaigns.

CUNA said it is supporting Cornyn in the Texas Senate primaryrace.
