The $46 million Knoxville PostOffice Credit Union will become TNConnect Credit Union on Oct.1.
The 6,700-member credit union has offices in Knoxville andSeymour, Tenn., and was founded in 1924, making it the state'soldest credit union.
|KPOCUwas organized by postal employees meeting in the basement ofthe downtown Knoxville Post Office, the credit union said, and isnow open to anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school inKnox, Blount or Sevier counties.
|“From the first American postal service set up in 1692 to today,the goal of the postal service has always been to help people getconnected,” said Linda Childs, president/CEO. “Under ournew name, TNConnect, we will remain the same loyal, committedand solid credit union that our members have come tolove.
