The $1 billion CAP COM Federal Credit Union in Albany, N.Y. is constructing athree-story office building in the town of Colonie that will housea main branch and the credit union's subsidiaries.

“Our main office and mortgage division are nearly bursting atthe seams,” said Paula Stopera, president/CEO of CAP COM. “Right now, ourprimary goals are to plan for future growth and meet the needs ofour members.”

The credit union recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony atthe 11-acre site attended by board members, senior leaders,community partners and town officials.

The building, which is expected to open late in 2014, will bethe headquarters for CAP COM CU's subsidiaries including HomeownersAdvantage Mortgage Division, Old Heritage Title Agency, CAP COMFinancial Services, Car Buyers Service, School Banking Program,College Bound Program, and the CAP COM Cares Foundation.
