The $673 million DATCU Credit Union in Denton, Texas recently opened its10th branch in the city of Sanger, a northern Dallassuburb.
|“We have many of our longtime members who reside in Sanger andthe surrounding area and therefore made the decision to open thisbranch to better serve the community and provide convenience to ourmembers,” said Dale Kimble, DATCU's president/CEO.
|While the north Texas credit union has many longtime members, itis gaining a lot of new ones.
|DATCU's membership has soared from 65,063 in March 2012 to71,097 in March 2013, according to Callahan & Associates.However, DATCU reports it now serves 71,980 members. Since March2008, the credit union has signed up more than 20,000 newmembers.
|DATCU held a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to celebrate thegrand opening of the new branch.
