NAFCU said it has booked veteran Democratic politico Paul Begalaas its keynote speaker for the 2013 Congressional Caucus the trade group has planned for Sept. 8-11at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington.
|Begala was chief strategist for the 1992 Clinton-Gore campaignand then a key Clinton adviser. He now is a CNN political analystand commentator.
|“We've had enough. Now is the time to 'Storm the Hill,'”said Dan Berger, the NAFCU executive vice president who takes over as president/CEO this summer. “We're pleased tohave Paul Begala as our keynote. He will offer our members keenobservations about today's political issues.”
|Along with Capitol Hill visits, attendees will hear from otherNAFCU executives and a lineup of congressmen and federalregulators.
|Last year's Congressional Caucus keynote was Tucker Carlson, from the other side of the political aisle andBegala's partner on CNN's former “Crossfire” program.
