Three weeks after Open Solutions Inc. was sold to Fiserv Inc., one of theConnecticut core processor's lead executives is moving to alongtime customer.

David Mitchell has been named senior vice president and chiefpartnership officer at COCC, the Avon, Conn., data center thatprovides its version of Open Solutions' platform to community banksand credit unions as an outsourced option.

Mitchell, a 20-year financial services veteran, had beenexecutive vice president and chief product officer at OpenSolutions in Glastonbury, Conn., where he was responsible for newproduct development and strategy. He also previously had been chiefmarketing officer there and president/general manager of itse-commerce and strategic products division.

“David will be an incredible asset to COCC and will play acrucial role in promoting the unique qualities of our technologypartnerships, their role in guiding our decisions, ensuring ourcontinued growth, and generating fierce loyalty to the COCC brand,”said COCC President/CEO Richard Leone.

COCC is owned by 124 financial institutions and has a total of169 clients, including 34 credit unions among the 135 financial institutions using itscore processing offering. The company also is an active participantin Open Solutions' DNA add-ons app store.
