Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union is now offering an appfor iPads to credit unions using the corporate's mobile bankingservices.

Functionality is the same as the corporate's smartphone app –account balances, transaction histories, internal transfers, billpay, branch and ATM locators, and social media integration. Remotedeposit check capture also is available.

The Plano, Texas-based corporate beganoffering apps for Apple and Android devices last January.

The apps integrate directly with core processing systems toprovide real-time data and can be customized and branded whileincorporating in-app marketing and messaging, said Robb Gaynor,chief product officer at Austin, Texas-based Malauzai SoftwareInc., the corporate's mobile banking developer.

“According to our research, iPad users are showing greaterengagement than their iPhone counterparts when they access mobilebanking. Their sessions are longer and they are doing more while inthose sessions,” Gaynor said.

“Mobile banking has been tremendously popular on smartphones,”said Karen Coble, Catalyst's vice president of sales. “The largerscreen on the iPad makes conducting financial business on a mobiledevice even easier.”

Malauzai said it currently serves about 20 credit unions and 70community banks.
