The Credit Unions for Kids/Children's Miracle Network programs attwo Oregon hospitals, Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portlandand Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, will receive $25,000thanks to an internal fundraising campaign at the $787 millionOSU Federal Credit Union in Corvallis, Ore.
|OSU Federal said as part of a dollar-for-dollar match program,the credit union's staff of 200 pledged their own money to theCredit Union Legislative Action Council, which resulted in a matchof $15,000 from the credit union for the two hospitals.
|Additionally, OSU Federal partner CO-OP Financial Services of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. presenteda match of $10,000, the maximum grant amount out of its Children'sMiracle Network-dedicated Miracle Match program, for the campaign,OSU Federal said.
|CO-OP Financial Services' match brought the CUSO's totalChildren's Miracle Network contributions to $2.7 million in thepast year, according to Nina Kopp, regional vice president forCO-OP Financial Services.
|“Credit unions in Oregon have supported CreditUnions for Kids in different ways for many years,” said RichardHein, CEO for OSU Federal. “Our team dedicated this year to tie twogreat causes together to make a difference. The staff invested inthe credit union's future and at the same time contributed to thefuture of kids.”
