The $1.2 billion Gesa Credit Union will be deploying fivepersonal teller machines at two of its five branches in the firstquarter of 2013, making it the first credit union in the Pacific Northwest to use the machines fromuGenius in Salt Lake City.

The machines will give the 111,000 members of Gesa CU theability to interact with a live teller through two-way video,handling typical transactions such as deposits, paying bills,transfers and cashing checks.

The credit union, meanwhile, will see a decrease in its branchcosts and improved operational efficiencies through use of thevideo tellers, the company and credit union said.
