Operation Best Wishes, the national program sponsored by theDefense Credit Union Council, will allow military families toconnect with their loved ones who are serving in other parts of theworld this Holiday Season.

Operation Best Wishes gives military families free access to amobile video recording studio where their personal greetings becomeanimated holiday video greeting cards for distribution over theInternet.

The video recording studio, complete with cameras, lights and atechnician, has the technology to superimpose families overanimated backgrounds, giving their special holiday greetings adistinctive appeal.

Loved ones and relatives then watch the holiday video greetingcard on the Operation Best Wishes website, after entering apassword, which allows viewing access only to them.

“The holiday season is an opportunity for all to spend time withfamily and loved ones,” said Arty Arteaga, president/CEO of theWashington, D.C.-based Defense Credit Union Council. “But, for many of our military,it's a time they'll continue to spend at their post, keeping anever-vigilant watch as they safeguard our liberties. ThroughOperation Best Wishes, our hope is to help our members, themilitary and their families, spend a few moments together duringthe holidays in a way they'll remember and cherish for alifetime.”

This year the national tour of Operation Best Wisheswill cover eight states and serve the military and their familiesfrom Hanscom Air Force Base and Fort Drum in the east, to TravisAir Force Base and Joint Base Lewis-McChord in the west. The touris scheduled to kick off in Southern California on Nov. 20 andconclude four weeks later at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
