Building on a partnership that has spanned many years, CU Direct Connect LLC said it is now a preferred lender for all AutoNation dealerships in Colorado.
The Centennial, Colo.-based vehicle lending CUSO serves 34 credit unions. AutoNation has 17 dealerships throughout Colorado.
“We've enjoyed a positive relationship for many years, and this new preferred lender agreement will help us move that relationship to an even higher level going forward,” said Tom Helmers, CU Direct Connect chief operating officer.
Both parties said they expect the agreement to lead to mutually beneficial increases in automotive loan and lease volume and revenues.
CU Direct Connect said it experienced a 43% increase year over year in loan volume and a 67% increase in lease volume through the first three quarters in 2012.
