NASHVILLE, Tenn. — It's literally game on at the CU Water CoolerSymposium.

This year, the 125 attendees gathered at the Frist Center forthe Visual Arts were issued a gaming challenge for prizes rangingfrom Brent Dixon's new album and variety of cool gadgets, to aninteractive badge granting access to SXSW.

The top prize? Becoming a CU Water Cooler editor, who inaddition to blogging, sharing their daily links of what they'rereading, will have the opportunity to speak at the nextsymposium.

Described at the start as the true interactive game-fication ofthe conference, attendees were split into randomly selected teamsindicated on their badge by colors of red, purple, green, blue orgold.

The teams and individuals have one day to complete missionsranging from publishing a blog post about how to apply retaillessons of Nashville's Broadway to credit union operations andasking a question during the Q&A to performing karaoke to acountry song of choice.

Each task has been assigned a range of points, and attendeesturn in their sheets Friday morning.

While for the most part honor-based, ultimate verificationhappens on Twitter. If it hasn't been posted, then it didn'thappen.

The true goal? Get people exploring, thinking and networking ina new way; basically living the whys behind launching the CU WaterCooler and Symposium three years ago.
