HR VP Byron Stout Named Interim President/CEO at Meritrust

Byron Stout, vice president of human resources at Meritrust Credit Union, has been tapped as interim president/CEO of the $830 million Wichita, Kan.-based credit union.

He steps in for Bob Corwin, who announced his resignation to become president/CEO of Advantis Credit Union in Milwaukie, Ore.

With Meritrust for the past five years, Stout has been specializing in employment law, corporate wellness, training and development, corporate culture, and employee compensation and benefits.

Prior to joining the credit union he worked 12 years in HR management for Love Box Co.

Stout will begin in his new role effective Sept. 28, the credit union said. Its board said a nationwide successor will be conducted for a permanent successor.
