Rod Staatz, president/CEO of State Employees Credit Union of Maryland, has been elected chair of the executive committee of the Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association.
Staatz was named chair during the leagues recent annual meeting. Staatz previously served as vice chairman of the group’s executive committee. He is also a member of the board of directors of CUNA and an at-large officer on the CUNA’s executive committee.
“I am honored and excited to be named chair of MDDCCUA and am looking forward to working closely with the association’s new President/CEO John Bratsakis and his entire team,” said Staatz.
“I am very confident that our strong track record of providing member credit unions with leadership, innovation, and support in the areas of advocacy, community outreach, and services will continue,” he added.
Staatz has served as president/CEO of the Linthicum, Md.-based SECU since 2003. SECU has 221,000 members and assets of $2. 5 billion.
