The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas is inviting the public to participate in its Facebook video contest that runs through Aug. 22.
As part of its summer campaign, “CU on the Road,” to increase public awareness of credit unions across the Dakotas, nearly 40 videos were produced in which people talk about their best credit union stories.
The videos were recently taken at the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls, S.D., in search of the next “CU on the Road TV Star.”
The videos have been posted on CUAD’s Facebook page. People are invited to view the videos and vote for their favorites.
People featured in the top three videos that receive the highest number of favorite votes will each receive a $250 prize. Then, CUAD said, it will choose one video from the final three, and the winner will be named “CU on the Road Star.”
That winner will shoot one television commercial that will be aired later this year.
The winners will be announced Aug. 24.
Headquartered in Bismarck, CUAD is the trade association serving 73 credit unions in the North and South Dakota. Collectively, the credit unions in the Dakotas have assets of more than $4.6 billion and serve 406,000 members.
