With service to a New Jersey environmental firm and a Pennsylvania IT provider, Utilities Employees Credit Union continues to stretch its virtual footprint.
The $1 billion cooperative in Wyomissing, Pa., will serve the 700 employees of Groundwater and Environmental Services Inc., a nationwide provider of environmental consulting, engineering and technical field services. Based in Neptune, N.J., the company has field offices in 21 states.
UECU's field of membership also now includes the more than 100 employees of Distributed Systems Services Inc., an IT provider, which serves a variety of industries with solutions including network services, device management, data hosting, and social software. The Wyomissing, Pa.-based firm manages IT for 400 clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The credit union recently announced a partnership with SWBC Investment Services LLC, a registered broker-dealer, to offer investment and insurance services to its members, including the employees of 600 utility companies across the nation.
