The $360 million Alliance Credit Union has opted to gift its members as a way to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
Through Sept. 29, members of the San Jose, Calif.-based credit union who refer a friend who applies for a loan or line of credit will receive a $60 VISA gift card.
The new loan or line of credit must be opened by Oct. 31 and will be awarded within 30 days of funding date.
The 39,700-member Alliance CU will also be offering a $1,000 grand prize sweepstakes and members will get one entry for each loan application referral.
