George R. Davis, president/CEO of Insight Credit Union, announced that the Orlando, Fla.-based credit union has received approval from the state of Florida for its request to expand the credit union’s field of membership to include the counties of Levy, Dixie, Taylor, Gilchrist, Columbia and Suwanee in West Central Florida.
“We are very excited to be able to reach into the underserved areas of these newly approved counties,” said Davis.
The request for a field of membership expansion was approved by Florida’s Office of Financial Regulation, and the expansion will allow the credit union to serve an additional 200,000 potential members.
Insight Credit Union has 12 central Florida locations. The credit union has been in business for 75 years and serves 54,000 members and has $442 million in assets.
