In honor of the Girl Scouts' 100th anniversary, the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County has teamed up with Suffolk Federal Credit Union to launch the Girl Scout Free Checking account with a commemorative debit card. The checks and the debit card are emblazoned with the official logo of the centennial celebration.
In addition, Suffolk Federal Credit Union will donate five cents to the Girl Scouts for each signature-based purchase with these debit cards, up to $350 per year.
“We’re proud to partner with the Girl Scouts. What they do to encourage these young girls is an inspiration to all of us. They are empowering the leaders of tomorrow within our community and we support their efforts,” said William O’Brien, president/CEO of Suffolk FCU.
