The SBA has approved First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union as one of the agency’s newest lenders.
The $575 million credit union in Fairhaven, Mass., said it can now underwrite commercial loan products utilizing the SBA Express and SBA Patriot Express loan programs in addition to participating in the agency’s 7(a), 504 and Rural Lender’s Advantage program.
The new lending designation could not come at a better time, said Peter Muise, president/CEO of First Citizens’.
“The enhanced ability to expedite the approval and funding process to provide the needed capital to our local business community will provide the additional resources and support our local businesses need now more than ever,” Muise said.
First Citizens’ serves more than 55,000 members.
