Member Driven Technologies is now offering remote deposit capture services from Bluepoint Solutions to the 53 credit unions that use the suburban Detroit CUSO as a service bureau for the Symitar core processing solution.
The QwikDeposit Home and ToGo mobile RDC solutions will allow credit unions to offer their members the ability to deposit checks from standard home scanners or smart phones and tablets.
“In the past two years, online and mobile banking have emerged as our most sought-after offerings,” said Larry Nichols, CEO of MDT in Warren, Mich. “As self-service channels continue to grow in popularity among consumers, so too does the demand for the ability to make deposits from multiple channels.”
Members simply key in the deposit amount and then either scan or take photos of the front and back of each check deposited, MDT said. Deposits from both capture points are then included with the credit union’s cash letter and processed for posting and clearing.
“CUSOs are vital to the credit union movement, especially as providers of new and innovative solutions that keep their member credit unions on the leading edge of technology,” said Hal Tilbury, CEO and founder of Bluepoint Solutions, which has said it plans to move its headquarters this month from Vista, Calif., to Henderson, Nev.
The company said it now partners with seven corporate credit unions and CUSOs and serves more than 1,000 customers, including approximately 200 credit unions.
