IC Federal Credit Union has set its sights on battling big banks by arming locals with the power of the credit union difference.
The 21,000-member Fitchburg, Mass., credit union has unveiled a new awareness campaign touting the many benefits of “homegrown” local credit unions.
Reinforcing its tagline “Because it’s all about YOU,” the $440 million credit union has released a video that takes a friendly, yet irreverent, swipe at giant national banks, represented as some huge monster robot operated by a collective of bankers in suits.
The animated cartoon’s narrative focuses on how consumers and the community as a whole are best served from local partners like IC FCU.
