Members of Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union will now have access to additional insurance services through a new agency launch.
KCFCU Insurance Agency opened for business Dec. 13, according to the $369 million credit union in Battle Creek, Mich. The subsidiary will offer auto, homeowners, business and renters insurance as well as other specialty insurance products such as wedding and pet insurance.
The credit union said the new entity comes through a partnership with Insuritas, a national provider of outsourced insurance agencies. The alliance will allow KCFCU to own a complete insurance agency without the capital investments required to build or buy one, according to KCFCU.
“The agency will help our members save time and money since we can shop multiple insurance carriers to find the most affordable insurance solution to fit their needs,” said KCFCU CEO Tracey Miller.
