A Web-based mailroom item processing solution has been added to the Check 21 product lineup at Bluepoint Solutions, the company said.
ImagePoint Mailroom is a Web-based portal solution that allows credit unions and banks to scan and process deposits and remittances, including credit card, mortgage, auto and other loan payments that come in the mail.
The application interfaces with the core processing system and other accounting systems to sort and process receipts, produce a cash letter and post files, the company said, operating in a cloud environment that it said eliminates outsourcing fees and replaces labor intensive processes and applications.

"Back-office remittance and deposits are areas where financial institutions of all sizes can leverage the benefits of electronic processing to lower costs and boost efficiencies."
Bluepoint Solutions, based in Vista, Calif., said it now provides remote deposit capture, item processing and enterprise content management solutions to more than 1,000 customers, including 200 credit unions. The ImagePoint Mailroom solution already has a couple users, the company said.
