Credit unions mulling over how they will change their debit card programs to adapt to the Durbin amendment regulations may find some assistance from a website called Durbin Dialog that has been launched by Card Services for Credit Unions.
Card Services for Credit Unions is the association of credit unions that process their card transactions with FIS.
“We looked into the space and concluded that while there was a lot of information available, there was a lot of clutter too,” explained CSCU Director of Business Development Cassie Ricks. “We want Durbin Dialog to be a place where credit unions can cut through some of the clutter.”
The site includes webcasts, white papers and relevant industry articles.
It also includes a section in which credit unions can collaboratively share their stories about how the Durbin Amendment is affecting them. This feature will allow credit unions across the country to work together to make sure best practices are being utilized coast to coast, the association said.
