Bonnot Named Top Missouri CU Regulator

Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Kenneth J. Bonnot as director of the Missouri Division of Credit Unions on Jan. 4.

In this position Bonnot, a 15-year veteran of the division, will regulate the Show Me State's 129 state-chartered credit unions. He has served as the division's deputy director since 2005 and has served as acting director since June of 2009.

"Ken Bonnot is a tough but fair regulator and the right choice to lead the Division of Credit Unions," Gov. Nixon said.

"Ken is the foremost expert on the regulation of Missouri's credit union industry," said DIFP Director John M. Huff. "Ken is committed to ensuring a competitive marketplace that stresses consumer protection while recognizing the need for a strong and healthy industry."

Bonnot is a Jefferson City native with a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Missouri.
