NCUA's Amended Defendants List in WesCorp Case Adds Two, Excuses 13

An amended NCUA complaint against former officials with Western Corporate FCU added two former WesCorp employees not originally named.

The latest version of NCUA's complaint, filed August 31 in federal district court, included former Vice President of Strategic Planning and Organizational Development Tom Swedberg and former Chief Financial Officer Todd Lane.

The original Western Corporate FCU defendants sued by seven mid-sized credit union members included the institution's entire board of directors and supervisory committee at the time of WesCorp's conservatorship, two directors who had already left the board, and nine WesCorp former and current employees. Thirteen former volunteers and current and former employees were excluded from the defendants list. Excused volunteers include newly named California Credit Union League President/CEO Diana Dykstra, and credit union executives Donna Bland, Adam Denbo, Wayne Hope, Susanne Longson, David Roughton and Darren Williams.

Current and former WesCorp employees dropped from the defendants list include Jeremy Calva, Laura Cloherty, James Hayes, Jeff Hamilton, Dwight Johnston and David Trinder.
