Kansas Credit Union Association President/CEO Marla Marsh and two credit union executives are scheduled to testify at next week's congressional field hearings on the financial crisis.
Marsh and MainStreet Credit Union President/CEO John Beverlin will appear on a panel on "To Big Has Failed: Learning from Midwest Banks and Credit Unions,'' next Monday in Overland Park, Kan.
Meritrust Credit Union Community Development Liaison Chris Wolgamott will appear on a panel on "Empowering Consumers: Can Financial Literacy Education Prevent another Financial Crisis,'' next Tuesday in Lawrence, Kan.
The hearings are being conducted by the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the House Financial Services Committee. Rep. Dennis Moore (D-Kan.) is the subcommittee chairman.
