Akcelerant said it can expand its presence among Symitar-powered credit unions now that it has signed a new partnership agreement with the credit union core processing division of Jack Henry & Associates.

The Akcelerant Framework already is in place at more than 40 of Symitar's customers and is being used by more than 400 credit unions overall, the Malvern, Pa., collections and loan origination specialist said.

The agreement allows Akcelerant to access San Diego-based Symitar's vendor integration services and market the Akcelerant platform to the core processor's client base of more than 700 credit unions, the company said.

"Akcelerant has tightly integrated its software to the Episys [core processing system] and gains new Symitar customers each quarter who wish to take advantage of Akcelerant technology," the company said.
