uMonitor said it has integrated its uOpen online account opening and retention solutions with human emulation software from Next IT to help reduce the number of abandoned applications.

Next IT said its ActiveAgent software allows users to interact with a financial institution in a way similar to talking to a live person. The first user of the combined technologies is $9 billion BECU in Tukwila, Wash.

"This partnership not only gives our clients' customers a better online experience, but also provides improvement in support and training for back office staff, allowing them to achieve a higher success rate and lower cost of application processing," said Dinesh Sheth, CEO of uMonitor in Memphis, Tenn., provider of the uOpen and uFund account opening and funding solutions and other products to about 125 credit unions and other customers.

"Our first deployment with the uMonitor platform last year gave us insight into this workflow process, and together we will provide greater value to our common clients," said Fred Brown, founder and CEO of Next IT in Spokane, Wash., whose clients also include airlines and the U.S. Army.
